As these parched lands drink the nectar from heaven,

The bees sigh because they cannot fly,

Little do they knwo that the nectar keeps their honey sweet and flowing,

As the winds die down,

As the water recedes into the ground from where it once came,

The pelting on the metal sheets reduce,

The farmer praises the skies for ansering his prayers,

while the business man curses them for making him late,

Little did he know that the skies had kept him alive for ages,

As the ground grew darker,

The skies lighter and life brighter,

As the dew on the leaves dripped gracefully down to the ground,

As the streams and brooks became filled with water,

The rivers gushed with life,

Life that was lost before but now found,

Life that was scarce before but abundant now,

As the children filled their pots with clean water,

The mothers wishes had been granted,

to lead life without disease,

to have abundantly and not misuse,

never again did they take it for granted,

The rain was life given a new.
