It was a boring Sunday day. My mum wanted to go to her family friend’s house and dragged me along. The drive was empty and boring, the only excitement coming from the passing outside world. After a deal of time, we ended up driving through some bush area. The sun was piercing the window on this bright day, burning my leg with its subtle intensity. I was zoned out and lost in thought, the quiet pop music playing on the radio sending me further into my own world. But then something caught my attention. It was the same car as the one I was sitting in. As it neared I pit grew in my stomach and enveloped my entire being with sense of the terrifying unknown. As the car passed time stopped. In the driver seat of the car was my mum, looking ahead. My heart stopped and fear of unknown grew in my body, spreading through my limbs like an electric shock and rippling my skin with goosebumps. It was then I noticed someone staring at me from the backseat. I turned to look and saw myself. Same clothes. Same skin. Same hair. But eyes of the purest black. He stared contently at me. Entering my soul through his eyes of putrid death. A wave of frozen bitterness rushed through my body. My head spinning, I fell sideways on the chair beside me and passed out. I was awoken by my mother a short time later. She noticed me waking and said “Oh my god, are you ok?! What the fu-“. Her words stopped instantly. Her face grew pale and eyes sunk backwards in her skull “W-w-why are your eyes black?”
