Prolog (v.1) - A book?

Author Chapter Note

They find a book. A very suspicious book. One touch can do things, without you knowing it can be disastrous.

Hi. I'm Logan. This is- WAIT! Emma careful you'll... ah~ she crashed. EMMA! YOU INTERRUPTED ME! I'M TELLING THE READERS WHAT HAPPENED! ... YOU'LL GET YOUR TURN!

Anyways sorry. That was my sister, Emma. She is such a klutz. ... YES YOU ARE! Now, I'm going to tell you what happened on the day of Friday, September sixteenth. Remember this is a recording. Oh and don't let anyone find about this please.

On a sunny, warm afternoon we were walking down the sidewalk, my sister and I. We just came back from school. Our backpacks were full of notebooks, text books, our lunches, and pencil case. I saw a book. It was as thick as the length of my middle finger. "No way... WHAT THE HECK!?! WHY IS A TEXT BOOK HERE???!!!!!!!" Emma screeched.

"My hopes of school not following us is over..." She got depressed.

I sighed in irritation. I walked over there, grabbed the book and flipped to the first page and tried reading the cursive handwriting. I walked back to see if Emma could read this. Honestly (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) Emma is the better sibling when reading things. ... I know! Don't need to brag about it. ... SO WHAT!

Anyways... I handed the book to her. She took a look at it and said," This is junk. It's just notes about Thanksgiving." She isn't a big fan of History anyways. I snatched the book away from her and frowned when I turned to the next page. It had a picture of a ship in a storm at sea.

I started to say," Hey Emma, didn't you say that these were all notes." The wind blew and blew even harder. The air smelled like the sea.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Emma was trying to shout over the wind. We grabbed our stuff and the book, and held it tightly, while we were hugging each other for safety. Everything was spinning and then, I blacked out.
