Scoldingly cold she knew, sneaking out into the cold night with no sweater had its consequences. Quietly wishing her boyfriend would then offer his hoodie, it seemed they had been walking all night, but it hadn’t done her any good for she wasn’t even close to sweaty. There were no words just the quiet sound of walking feet against the gritted pavement, and every now and then the descreet sound of a passing car in the distance, she glanced a bench casted out to the side not far, then her boyfriend turned to her and signaled with his head to the bench, she sat down and her legs gave relief the second she sat down, her butt hitting the cool wood. Her boyfriend turned to her then, she saw it coming looking at his face. Before he could speak, she slipped her numb hands into his, knowing, squeezed his hands , then left. Walking home, she forgot about the cold, and watched her tears stain the pavement one by one.
