There was once a time when I looked up to you.

Lapped up every word you spoke, just entranced by your beauty and simple presence.

But that was before.

Before you grew impatient, and snapped at me for every tiny thing.

Before your compliments turned into criticisms

and before your face became this own big permanent scowl.

I don’t know where I went wrong.

You used to be the most patient person I ever knew, but now,

you’re telling me you’re fed up.

So am I.
