Before man, the world was ruled by giants

That survived by their cunning or their size

Then forces came about that destroyed them

A great big (Poof!), --- what a big surprise.

Grains of sand trickle through the ages

And the hour-glass is turned to start again.

The ending of an age is not judgment day

And new beginnings may take ages, my friend.

Every cycle is like a turning point in time

And every age has a symbol to display

It defines what humanity has accomplished

And whether they must go, --- or stay.

There was wood, metal, and machines

Then the atom, and man went into space.

Now computers have taken over earth

And we may disappear, (Poof!), without a trace.
