You can’t do this

You can’t do that

You can’t do anything like that

Because you're white, black, mexican, asian

We are better than you

We are superior to you

We are more than you

Because you're white, black, mexican, asian

I can get an education here

I can get a better job here

I can get a better life here

Because I am white, black, mexican, asian

My life revolves around my race

Life is a race for all races

To see who can be the best

The most superior

We are the same

Yet so different

And the difference they look at

Is the difference of our skin,

the one part that does not truly count

The difference in personalities

The difference in the way we act

The difference in our religions

Yet the mostly noticed one is our race

My race is what defines me?

My race says I can and cannot do things?

My race controls my life?

What makes race the one thing that makes us

Decide such certain things?

What makes race such a powerful thing

That it takes over our lives?

What makes race such a powerful thing

That it takes over our lives?

How does it crack the bonds

We have so carefully woven?

The color of our skin

The color of our ancestors

The color of our life

Color? What is color?
