False Hope

There I go again

Smiling like a fool

Hearing sweet words

Words I wish to hear

Blinded by hope

Clouded by bad judgment

Tears roll down my face

As reality becomes my fear

All these words

All these songs

All my life

I don't want to hear

The heartbreaking news

Shatters the glass

Breaks my cage

My heart can't take another year

You raise your drink

Drink the poison

Curse me out

You're still here

Where is my dad

Where’d he go

His little girl is waiting, bleeding

As she sheds another tear

She, no I can't help but cry

Cry for anger not sadness

Cry for my stupidity

For my idiocracy

For my will to think that you will change.

You're not gonna change

You won't be that man i loved

Who loved me back

Who took care of me at that time

When you use to tell me stories

And sing me songs

Call me princess

And tell me rhymes

When you made people smile

Instead of cry

There I go again

Smiling like a fool

Hearing sweet words

Words I wish to hear

Blinded by hope

Clouded by bad judgment

Tears roll down my face

As reality becomes my fear

You're gone!

From my reach

You’re gone

But I am still here.
