I know it’s hard. Giving your trust to someone is like letting someone point an arrow to your head and hoping him or her not to shoot. It’s like doing a free fall and hoping that someone or somebody will be there waiting to catch you on the ground. It’s like jumping out of an airplane to do sky diving and hoping that your parachute would come out. Yes, it’s hard. Because giving your trust is giving your heart to someone you love or someone important to you and hoping he or she wouldn’t break it.

Trusting someone takes a lot of courage, you need to be courageous enough to let yourself stand on a thin line that is being held by someone. It’s either you’ll stay standing because that someone is holding it steadily or you’ll fall off because he or she keeps on shaking it. But no matter what happened it still depends on you if you’ll continue trusting that someone or if you’re just going to pick yourself up and just trust yourself. Because trusting someone is giving that person the privilege to take control of your emotions while hoping for the best.  It’s letting someone keep your half even though you’re not sure if they’re going to take care of it or not. That’s why some people became hard as a rock. That’s why there are others who chose to keep their whole and not let anybody touch it. Because they know, that if they trusted someone they would take a huge risk and they might just end up hurting themselves. Hurting themselves because of trusting, hurting themselves because of hoping, and hurting themselves because of loving. Why? Because you wouldn’t give your trust to someone you didn’t love.  You wouldn’t allow someone to have the chance to hurt you emotionally just because you gave them the key to open your chest and take your heart. You wouldn’t allow someone to melt the ice that is surrounding you just by looking at you straight in the eyes. You wouldn’t allow someone to break the high thick walls that is keeping you from the cruel world outside if he or she isn’t important. Because loving is letting someone explore your depths and hoping they wouldn’t exploit your riches. Loving is hugging someone completely even though you’re blind to see your back and defend yourself if there would be anyone to stab you. Loving is like gambling that you keep on playing even if you’re not sure if you’re going to be victorious. Because loving is taking a risk, and taking a risk is trusting.
