Chapter 1

Arrival at Fang Island, an unexpected rescue?

As the sun rose in the blue sky of Ra, a voyaging ship made his way through the quiet ocean. The ships destination was Fang Island, an island in the far south of the Ra kingdom. A man dressed in a black cloak was reading a book about venomous fauna and flora. The hooded man was tall and from what was not covered under the hood we could see a light beard of brown hair, the man had a round chin and perfect cheekbones. The man clearly knew where he was about to go, Fang island is known to be a very dangerous place because of its major population of poisonous animals and corrosive plants. The man closed the book and looked at the a misty shape far into the horizon. The man smiles and disappears. The rest of the ship’s crew are making all preparation needed to dock, the ship was an old galleon with symbols  of eagles on he’s sails. As the ship approaches the docks the hooded man over hears a conversation between the captain and the second in charge. ‘These damn pirates are all over the seas now a day!’ said the captain lividly. The second in charge answers immediately with ‘ well that’s because they have a king now…’. The ship has docked and is now empty. The hooded man walks towards an old man fishing and asks “excuse me sir do you know where the scale forest is?’. The old man looks at the hooded man with fears in his eyes. The old man replies ‘ young man the forest is haunted by a demon you should stay away from it and go back from where you come from. The hooded man smiles and ask ‘ where do demons come from?”. The old man cannot answer the question and is soundless. The hooded man leaves the fisherman to he’s occupation. The hooded man passes through the small village of Kôsa, a village known for he’s exportation of rare species of scaleless fish used in high star restaurants of the capital. A simple village where children play in the streets and all villagers are neighbours. The hooded man keeps walking and from time to time ask one or two villagers about the forest. By some it is called a wild jungle and by others a meek overgrown forest, but what was sure is that it is dangerous. The man heard tales from demons coming from the forest and eating all there winter supplies. After couple of hours of research the hooded man arrives in front of the forest entrance. The hooded man looks at the barricaded forest entrance. ‘So the villagers weren’t exaggerating about the forest entrance…’ the hooded man makes himself a passage through the vines and bushes. After a harsh crossing avoiding all poisonous plants the man arrives in front of an old rocky road untouched by time and devastated by moss. The road led deeper in the forest, as the man advanced into the forest the leaves turn darker and obscure. The man steps on some unravel earth, all of a sudden a giant bear attacks the hooded man and manages to hit him with a violent strike. The man didn’t have time to understand what happened to him as he was chased down by the giant bear. The man was running as fast as he could, he managed to keep a distance between him and the bear. All of a sudden the bear crashes down on the ground and rolls over a couple of times due to his high speed chase. The hooded man is confused at what just happened, he takes a look at the dead bear and notices an arrow through the bears eye. The hooded man thinks too himself ‘what could do that?’, a shadowy shape appears behind the hooded man. The hooded man looks behind him but it is already too late, the shadow slashes at the hooded man leaving behind only a trail of blood. The hooded man looks at the shadow taking a human form and appears to be an boy. All the hooded man could look at where the penetratingblack eyes bounded with reddish glow and he’s right eye marked by the devil. The boy started to talk in words and grunts. ‘Leave…’ he said with a instinctive force in his voice.  The hooded man takes of his hood as he just manages to dodge the shadows attack. Hello my name is Gilroy Acrifisse my young friend. The boy stares at Gilroy with a burning persuasion. The boy didn’t speak a word. ‘Leave…’ he repeated hastily. Gilroy answer with a touch of humour, ‘Ow well that’s too bad I was thinking of spending my holydays here, the climate is quit pleasant.’ The boy gazes him down. Gilroy notices that the boy closes his eyes. The boy whispered something only he could hear. Gilroy is confused and looks around. Gilroy feels a ache in his stomach, when he wanted to see what he had we suddenly smelled the taste of blood in his mouth. And before he could realise it he’s throat was cut open and he had a machete in the guts. The devilish red eyes of the wild boys were noticeable just above Gilroy’s head.
