This poem is about love. The first time you meet someone, you wonder if the the feeling you get is real. I named it the touch to refer to the chills an individual gives you. Should you follow your instincts and let your guard down, are should you ignore that feeling and break down the wall that is holding you back?

The Touch

Here it goes again

The chills rise up your spine

You want to run away

But the feeling is so divine

It makes you feel safe

Then crush your feelings again

Should I trust another

Or banish it all together

Its words are so sweet

It makes you smile inside

It whispers in your ear

Let me in

You shouldn't have to hide

Your mind is so confused

This is what happened before

Should I give in to its touch

Or walk out and slam the door

I did I did again

This time it was quite strange

I gave in to the touch

Now my dead body remains
