Across the welkin came rumblings like a train

And battalions of demons filled the sky.

I stood on open ground and watched the sunrise

And I heard the echoed sounds of angles cry.

The earth began to fester on the surface

And demons ventured forth from deep within

So I moved to higher ground, while I trembled,

Praying all the while for those that sinned.

I saw Satan lifting out of molten lava

Then he summoned a thousand angles, maybe more.

Faithful souls started rising from their graves

And then they gathered for the battle at the shore.

Oh how I prayed even harder for the dammed

And for all the faithful souls that had to fight.

I said, ---"What a pitiful arrangement for us all.”

Then I heard God say, --- "You're right."

God wiped away the demons and the angles

Sending Satan to the place it had begun.

God said, --- "I, too, am weary of these stories

Let's wrap it up with a setting of the sun."

So I stood among a multitude of souls,

All of us at peace --- in God's Name

We sang a gentle lullaby to life

And the light went out, just as it came.
