I sound my barbaric yap over the roofs of the world,

I howl, I bark in triumph, I stand, my tail tight- curled.

I am the master of the sofa, there are none who are beneath me.

Die, you silly pillows die! Stuffing, now you are free!

The cushions fall beneath my weight- I have conquered them, too.

Try to stop me now, you cushions! Try, I dare you!

My big fat bone goes on the armrest- slobber drips on the leather.

I sink my teeth into another pillow. Blech! This one’s filled with feather.

I am the queen of everything! What other riches are in store?

Ooh, are those Mommy’s best shoes? Chomp. Gulp. Not anymore!

Someone left the cheese out! Mmm... the salty taste.

I quench my thirst in the porcelain bowl, gulping and slurping in haste.

Ha ha! Are those wadded Kleenexes? Yum, my favorite treat!

Even better! TOILET PAPER! I unroll it with my feet.

All of the sudden, the front lock clicks. “Were you a good girl, Sweet-Pea?”

Mommy comes inside and gives a scream. She must be so proud of me!
