As a kid, I wrote in my journal a lot.

I wrote about the usual teenage things:
ANGST, DEPRESSION,

“THIS IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE

I WILL NEVER LOVE ANYONE

LIKE I LOVE HER.”

And at fifteen,

That’s normal.

At fifteen, every emotion hit me

Like a gunshot to the face,

Every word in my journal

Was ripped from my flesh

As I forcefully removed the bullets

From my body before the infection set in.

When I held all the bullets in my journal

I could feel my blood fill the pages

Leak out of my body in paragraphs

Until I bled out.

Is that normal?
