Record store day is here

Grab your albums, girls and boys

You'll have to get here early

To buy the limited Pink Floyd.

I'm glad that I can remember

When music wasn't compact

To me records are current

Not some dated artefact.

I'd rather have a record collection

Music sounds better on LP

A room full of vinyl albums

Not scrolling down an MP3.

Turn off iTunes and YouTube

Stop shuffling Spotify

Play something meaningful

She Loves You on forty five.

What you don't get with download

And it's strange what you miss

The thing I love about vinyl

Is the needle crack and hiss.
