Bethany was stood at the clock of the clock tower. A large crowd had crowded round the bottom of the tower. Everyone was staring at her, wondering what had changed inside her. No one knew what had, but only Bethany knew. She put her arms in a diving position and threw her phone down, it bleeping as it fell. Leah was also in the crowd of people, trying to call Bethany’s phone but then realized it was broken in pieces on the floor. Bethany looked down to see Leah shaking her head as if to say,

‘Don’t do it Bethany! You have so much to live for!’

She knew that’s what she was thinking, she was so over protective. Then it hit her, her sister wasn't careless. She was over protective, that’s why she gave her a lot of rules. Bethany collapsed onto the floor, sobbing. The police came running to her and put hand cuffs on her.

“Why are the police arresting her?” Leah whispered to other people nearby. More whisper arose around the crowd while the police got Bethany into a police car.

30 Minutes later…

Bethany was in a police interview room with the policeman that arrested her.

“Where were you yesterday afternoon?” he asked.

“I was outside.” She said, “Why am I here? I’ve lost all my family and I’m in police custody!? Life is cruel…”

“Bethany, we need you to answer the question fully. What were you doing outside?”

“Watching the lightning. Watching my sister die.” Bethany cried.

“Let her go. We don’t need her.” The policeman said as he got out and left the room.

1 hour later...

Bethany was at home on her bed. She was looking at the news on her laptop.

“And this is where the criminal was arrested. That has been it for Dalia’s News. Bye!”

She shut her laptop over. There was a knock at the door. She raced down the stairs and opened the door to see a man standing there.

“Bethany?” he said.

“Who are you?” she asked.

He looked down.

“I’m Louie. You probably don’t know me but I was one of your dad’s friend’s son. He told me your sister passed…” he said.

Bethany shook her head.
“Why are you here? My dad passed away ages ago and I’m by myself. What do you want?”

“I’m here for you. We used to go to school together. In primary. I always had a secret crush…”

He looked deep in her eyes.

“I don’t want love. I have failure. My life is a fail…” and she shut the door…
