My road is tough,

My troubles hard.

Yet everyone I love

Manages to give me a scar.

Then Jek came along,

And he brightened my life.

Nobody noticed

The light on my knife.

Jek was strong,

And he made me better.

Though I couldn’t help,

But give him a letter.

A letter to explain,

Explain what I had done.

To completely cover,

My dulling sun.

My clock wound down,

My message sent,

The light of my life,

Down again.

My life at an end,

The letter sent,

I hoped that Jek

Could manage to begin again.
