Only to speak of great men,

Of magnificent things that they have made,

Yet they all shall wind up again

At the same point they were on their birthday.

Oh see how far it is that they have gone,

Behold how high they have flown,

Starting from nothing,

Then making a great circle;

Thus a hole then shall they own,

Wasting down into dust and dry bone.

In future years will their splendid creations

Restore the vibrancy of once wealthy nations,

Or will their systems, engines with their high tech knavery

Only serve to reduce all humanity into age old slavery?

In all honesty I think the latter,

No matter what the positive chatter.

Reducing all literature down into nooks,

While doing away with all books,

Only leads to mass censure at the touch of a button.

Now the equivalent of a mass book burning can be achieved from nothing,

A modern day Kristal Night at the speed of light.

The ability to know all numbers, names, positions, and dwelling places

By the shape of people’s faces.

Into these devices all personal secrets are poured,

From anywhere the mark is scored.

What are those whom seek refuge now to do?

Everybody must heed the forthcoming purging call.

He will live to play a part

In the propulsion of this new world cart,

The masses will serve to be only the horse,

Instead of the driver,

Of course!

Why is it only myself who bears this vision?

Do all others only live in fear?

Are the masses even aware of the death that lurks so near?

If they bear no thought for their future,

Then why should any of us care?
