she was beautiful,

my lady of the sea.

her heart sang melodies,

her eyes treasures hidden especially for me.

we ran away,

me and my lady of the sea.

I showed her the stars,

she taught me how to dream.

she sang to me a song,

I listened as I fell asleep,

of creatures unknown,

of the wonders of the deep.

it was a sad day,

the day she left me

to make new memories,

to see things I could never see.

the sky turned black

and the birds screamed.

but I still hear the song,

the song she sang to me.

oh, I'll never forget her,

my lady of the sea.
