Depression is the ultimate struggle that I'm faced with every day, and each day I come up with a few more words to describe it.

It's hard to eat

and easy to sleep

My head aches

my heart breaks with every thought of home

It's tiring to walk

It's stressful to talk

My soul feels old

Wish I could be bold for just one more day but I feel alone

It's relieving to laugh

But it never does last

My breathing is hard

So I look at the stars and I remember what it's like to be loved

My feet are sore

My new life's a bore

Everything seems so sad

All these feelings I have and I wait for a miracle from above

Children play

Preachers preach

So far away

I reach and reach

For maybe just a better time

I reach for happiness that doesn't feel like mine
