Cards
A poem by Gaia of Autumnia

A night with family
A game with cards
No match  to see
Mother drops her drink
Cleans up the shards
Brother sees and rethinks
She let down her guard
And her hand is sent to the graveyard
Brother continues while humming a blues
Father lifts his glass and gulps down his booze
Sister quietly sits and notices
In her hand of cards there are two aces
Mother is played out and is quickly to pout
Brother is tired
His plan to cheat has backfired
Father lost his attention
and is quickly done
Sister had fun
and eventually won
