The love I love (An Oriental Dream)

The love I love I left behind the wall

This love that left me in mourning immured

The reckless life wreckers don’t care at all

For spoken hearts, bloodied, broken, injured

The cackling cabals that cut love to shreds

The sniggers of scoundrels sound through the night

They drown out the tears that a lover might shed

For they rejoice in our pain with delight

But I will cross walls to take you away

To a place where we can love and can hope

To a sure place where we safely can stay

To a place beyond walls where evil won’t cope

To a place with rainbows, birds and bright streams

A place where dreams will no longer be dreams
