To laugh, fight without fighting.

(each laugh is defiance of sadness to come.)

To daydream, sleep without sleeping.

(forget the waking world for but a moment.)

To write poems, think without thinking.

(it is just as much dreaming as thinking.)

To love, dream without dreaming.

(love would be a dream if it wasn’t real.)

To sleep, die without dying.

(sleep is death’s gentler cousin.)

To kiss, touch without touching.

(a kiss is love made tangible.)

To live, dream without dreaming

(life is a dream made real.)
