Tears from the sky
A poem by Gaia of Autumnia
I lift my head and listen
to the trickling of heaven's tears
Just like my own eyes, the clouds are swollen
Sick of all the profiteers
I straighten my back and listen
to the howling of the winds
My feelings locked away in a prison
Wishing I was more thick-skinned
I ball my hands and listen
to the banter in the street
My heart completely barren
Tired of the way people cheat
I close my eyes and listen
to a little voice within
Advice no one has given
Wondering where I have been
I step outside, I do matter
My heart has told me so
Igniting my soul like an ember
I can be my own hero!
