Death come to us all, in the end.

Why do we fear death, yet fear life?

Pay homage to the slabs of stone buried in the ground

Lest there be some form of punishment when it’s our turn to go –

Death be the end of life; life, the precursor to death.

Who are we to say that death is worse than life?

Keep strictly to our structured routines

In which we force life to make sense to us;

Order, they call it, when you repress your own desires

When, if ever, will this charade end?

Hate groups and terrorism appearing on the news.

Scaremongering governments and TV propaganda

Kind people are so very difficult to find

Where can we find peace, love, or unity?

You see the stories in our world today

We cannot solve them through action or prayer

We can stop this charade through our sacrifice. My question is,

What’s stopping us?
