So I found a couple lines from this poem, rewrote it according to these, then found that I'd already written a whole poem. So, oops. On the other hand, the new version is much better, and changed
into a song. Wee.

It’s rare to see you nowadays

In dreams of now or old

And I am growing cold

The church bell ringing far away

Reminds me of our home

Where we both stood alone

But standing with you

I didn’t feel the pain

In that broken church’s hall

I was a fool

I punched a wall

The wall, it crumbled in my fist

And I was pissed

My bloody fist

But standing with you

I didn’t feel the pain

You told me he was creeping you

He creeped on you

But I did too

I planned a future in my head

And then you fled

All in my head

When I was with you

I couldn’t feel my pain

But what I never got to see

You were just like me

Tried to be free

And when you came back once again

You turned away

What did I say?

A thousand apologies

I couldn’t face the pain

Of losing you.
