Let me give you a quick discourse

On letters we should not enforce:

The letter “C” and letter “K”.

I’m sure you know that they both say

The sound that can be heard in clay

or kite, that is, right at the start;

And as you see it is not smart

To have one sound that is the same

Be given two letters, just in name.

And sure, sometimes the letter “C”

Is soft, at least to some degree

And sometimes makes some other sound;

I still must think this plan unsound.

And so, therefore, I have to say

Let’s eliminate the letter “K”.
