Returning back to the place where I spent my childhood, the place where I grew, the place where I was made worth being where I am today, an image of the place comes afresh to me as I close my eyes excited about the return to the old lanes.

Walking a vista shaded in Deodar,

Climbind up a gentle slope of a hilly road.

A snow clad peak, way too far,

And mountain winds majestically roared.

A bubble of memories burst at my face,

And sprinkled what I had lost in turbulence.

Though I had a swag, an all class grace,

What went missing  was innocence.

Innocence of heart,

Heart that was pure,

Pure were intententions,

Intentions pious,

pious was soul,

Soul that lives forever in hills,

Since the ages for me and valleys to know each other.

When there wasn't any list of bills,

And happiness had a face, whom I to date address as mother.

Today I am lost somewhere perplexed in the mist,

Worried about each moment, each one in future.

Smile at the moment when world seemed in my fist,

If someone could fetch those old days from nature.

Nature was sweet,

Sweet chirps cherished,

Cherished are now memories,

Memories of times perished,

Persihed is the childhood,

Childhood that's lost to the ways of the world,

If that's what is meant by it I should've denied to grow.

I feel the breeze, how time has swirled,

Standing here I do see but could never know.

A tear sparkled,

A smile widened.

I felt euphoria,

I smelt nostalgia,

Overwhelmed, Walking a vista shaded in Deodar,

Climbind up a gentle slope of a hilly road.

To A snow clad peak, way too far,

While mountain winds majestically roared.
