Trolling the Main Character

Wendell was a lonely man.

‘What, who said that?’

And that’s why he had turned to binge-eating to fill the gap in his heart.

‘I did no such thing.’

Which is why he was surrounded by a sad graveyard of empty doughnut boxes and empty XXL Big Gulp cups.

‘Well, I do seem to be surrounded by all that, but only because he wrote it so.’

Yes, Wendell was a lonely man, which is why he had taken to participating in half a conversation aloud, which to anyone observing would look like the crazy rambles of a mad man.

‘You’re making me talk. Take those quote marks away, at least then I would be thinking and not talking aloud,’ the madman rambled crazily.

Alas, there was nothing to be done for poor Wendell, because in this universe, I can get him to say and do anything I want, and it’ll be to poor Wendell’s shame.

‘You son of –,’

I can cut him off if I want and can make him say ludicrous things.

‘Praise be to Reagle, the god-emperor!’

And there’s nothing he can do about it. I even went back and edited his name from Jack to Wendell, which I felt was a far more appropriate name.

‘Ow!’

Silly Wendell had punched himself in the face, and it was entirely his own fault. Also, a few years ago he wet himself in fear after getting chased around campus by a playful cat.

‘I did not, he’s just making this up as he goes along!’

Wendell suddenly found himself naked in the supermarket, and all the decent people pointed and laughed. He blushed outrageously.

‘Take me out of here this very instant!’

Wendell found himself in jail, where he will remain for the rest of his life.

‘How could you be so cruel?’

Because I can, Wendell. Goodbye.
