This LA unit's theme is poetry. I had been given the assignment to write a sonnet. For a while I had writers block, but I eventually was inspired by one of the original stories of Beauty and the Beast.
Hope you like it!

Lost in the pages of another life

She was raised with the kindness of his love

Ignoring their talk is a goal to strive

Praying to the heavenly god above

Saying goodbye is hard when time to try

Only one request for a single rose

The youthful girl attempts never to cry

Wishing safe travels to him as he goes

The winds of terror kidnap overnight

Trading freedom so her father could live

Her actions do not show what is in sight

Overtime a new friendship she will give

For the troublesome thought did soon decrease

For the lovely girl learned to love a beast
