Am sorry sweetheart, I can’t make it today.

It’s okay Dad.

I’ll work on my essay, it's due soon anyways.

See you soon?

Yes, I’ll give you a call.

I know I’m the one who canceled our plans but…

Are you busy tonight?

Nope.

Movie?

Sure, anything!

Where are you?

Coffee place

Be right there!

“Hey! Mind if I drink a cup first?” Jimmy said to the brown-haired girl.

Jenny nodded absentmindedly.

While he ordered, Jimmy looked at the lonely girl at the back of the shop. The girl who ripped out pieces of her heart for anyone who needed it. He walked back to her and sat in the empty chair beside her.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I think so…” she lied.

He looked at her.

“You know, he’s not entitled to your heart.”

“I know.”

They looked at each other. She didn’t want to talk about it. She looked tired. She had probably spent the previous night writing that essay, just to be able to spend time with him.

“Well, you can have mine anytime you want,” Jimmy said as he handed her a heart shape cookie.

A smile claimed her lips.

She bit into the cookie.
