The First Drop of Rain

I walk slowly through the sandy dunes

My head down with broken pride

The waves crash angrily

With a slowly rising tide

The light may be fading

But I can see your picture too clearly

Of the times you smiled with me

Oh, how I miss you so dearly

Clouds are forming up ahead

But I just can't pick up my pace

This was all my fault

I feel like such a disgrace

My legs become heavy

My body aching with pain

As I drag myself along

I feel the first drop of rain
