Should I forsake my friend?
My heart shall not rend,
Yet my life will end.
I know not...
I know not...
Should my friend die?
I will ever cry,
Yet dead I won't lie.
I know not...
I know not...
A choice I must make,
A path I will take,
Who shall I forsake?
I know not...
I know not...

This is such a powerful poem in its unique essence. It's short and yet intense.
A very strong poem, Amara. Choices so many had to make in the past, and no doubt still do! The repetition you use really accentuates the impossibility of making that decision.
