Benjamin's University Days

Submitted: May 16, 2017

I could still remember my days in both secondary and primary levels. In those days, I walked with a number of friends and learnt from each person behaviour. Unlike my University days where I meticulously selected my friends. My mother had sometimes summoned me inside our less roomy room where we squeezed ourselves with my two younger brothers. At this inconvenient room, we sucked in the breathe of one another, and our sweat often mingled with one another. Sometime I would be woken up with a long blow from my younger brother who has formed the habit of making his body a jiffy wherever he slept. This has been one of the challenges we faced at home.
The woman summoned me secretly on Thursday morning when she always be at home. She eulogized me many a time that I felt my round shaped head swelling. This was one of the things I found special about this woman.
I retorted to the woman call where she beckoned me to sit on an old shabby traditional mat. l sat majestically on the mat because of my new achievement. I knew that the woman was proud of me from her glowing eyebrows. She began moving her thin lips slowly with pool of tears welling up her face.
Furthermore, after a long lasting sobbing, she embedded my heart with good pieces of advice which I would still be telling my children from one generation to another.
"You are going to the University now where no one eagle's eyes will see you." The poor woman burst into happiness cry as she mournfully blurted out because she believed that no one would take care of her as I always did. This sometime wrecked me down because I could not bear the woman's cry.
That was two years ago before I set out for school. But one things that always thrilled me was my Friend, Benjamin. Benjamin was my intimate friends at both secondary and primary level. He was a short boy with a stiffened heart. Benjamin was very notorious, and well-known during my secondary school days. If one sees the shortness of Benjamin, one will have inferred wrong inference that the little boy can not exhaust a wrap of pap. Benjamin's physical appearances was irrelevance to judge his traits. This reminded me of the fight between Benjamin and our classmate, Soley. It happened a day that both had meant each other before the closing time. Soley was also notoriously known for his bullied behaviour. He was a tall boy and stoutly built unlike Benjamin. This made many students to quiver with fear wherever he was approached. Moreover, we were so excited to watch the two masters drinking in the same pot. The two men jumped outside the class immediately they heard the jingle of the bell. But before then, I have warned Benjamin not to indulge himself in a fight with this boy.
"Benjami,"... I stuttered," I would advice you to thwart the fight between you and Soley. This I knew as a futile advice. Benjamin has never considered any of my advice useful since we knew each other.
"I must show this guy today," he said it sarcastically. Afterwards with all my advice, Benjamin still ignored to consider my advice.
Both men stopped at the earshot of the school in a bushy area where one could only hear the tweeting of birds as well as the chirping of owl . This secluded place has not fully developed, but what we could only see was the uncompleted building that surrounded the place. Different wild creatures were running helter-skelter inside the half completed building, but little did the crowd mind this because of the enthralling fight.
" we must know the master now." One of the students voiced out. Two minutes later, we arrived at the scene, both of them removed their clothed and began to contend with each other. As Soley carried one of Benjamin's legs, the crowd roared with a mixture noise. I pitied Benjamin because it was obvious that he would be defeated. There was an unending hailing from Soley's supporters. More so, as Soley grasped Benjami's short body, skillfully , Benjamin was able to conceal his hands under Soley's cock and therefore severely gripped his cock. As a result of this, Sholey's back reclined on a bare ground followed with a strong blow from Benjamin. There was a commendable claps reverberating from the crowd. No sooner after this, than everyone of us departed.
The following day, the management has received a number of complaints from the passers-by, who witnessed the yesterday incidence. Benjamin and Soley were badly flogged by Mr Ojo on the assembly ground. Despite of this flogging, no harbinger of tears revealed from their bellicose faces.
Time is the foundation of life. After I left school some years ago, I was not able to see the shadow of my friends again hitherto to the day I gained admission. However, my first day at the University, where I strolled out in order to get acquainted with the University environment. I was quietly toddled around a huge magnificent building which was beautifully planted with crimson cold flowers around the building. The innocent, tidy flowers were waving their petals which I found adorable. I was so enthralled with this amazing scenario that I did know when I collided with a young, gentle looking man who plugged earpiece inside his ear. The man spat out curse on me, because his white, unstained clothe was drenched with dirty particles. "I am sorry," I said. "Don't mind that." The man eventually found his way after thousand of curses he had raised. After the long walk I embarked on, I decidedly to come back to my hostel because of the dark, gloomy atmosphere. I realized it was high time I went home because of the lightning and splashing of the thunder. Before I crossed the road, I had a faint voice calling my name. "Hey," Bayo, "how you dey?" shouted Obina. Obina was one of my friends in secondary school then. His body size has changed with a marooned fitting clothe showing the shape of his body. Before, he was a boy with a thin body which earned him the name 'Antelope' in school.
" Longest time bro." I replied as we gave each other a warm embrace. We talked for quiet a long time before I interrupted our discussion as I asked about Benjamin from Obina.
"Did you hear anything about Benjamin," I questioned with concern.
"Benjamin... ."He hesitated his voice. "Yes, I meant Benjamin." I probed further.
"Benjamin has...," he stopped,"don't worry I will tell you later." Obina said quizzically. My eyes were smouldered with fear from the reaction of Obina to the question I asked. As we both headed toward his hotel, the thought of knowing about Benjamin continually concooned my heart. With much persuasion from me to get words from Obina, however, he repudiated to tell me more about Benjamin. What could have happened to my friends? I kept probing myself. But I could not, but neglecting some negative answers rushing inside my minds.
"We are at home." Obina touched me. I was almost entered the next room beside Obina before I was drawn back from my thinking. However, it was obvious to Obina how I cared about Benjamin in school. In addition, the portrait of 2 Face that was tagged on the green painted wall also caught my attention. On the portrait 'the king of music" was boldly written on the wall which I was ruminating on before Obina came back from the next room.
"What happened to Benjamin." I asked with seriousness.
Obina who had know my position then quickly proffered answer to my question. Although, what he told me about Benjamin did not please me.
He told me Benjamin was able to be admitted to the University of Benin after much persuasion from his parent. The parent of Benjamin had refused to send Benjamin to higher institution because of his nasty behaviour. Despite of his Uncle, he was sent to proceed his study. Benjamin reached the University of Benin without departed from his old behaviour. The worst part of it was that he was initiated into one of the secrete cults in the University
. I was moved by the sad story of Benjamin meanwhile I was ready to hear more about the end of Benjamin.
Obina unexpectedly burst into cry after he announced that Benjamin was brutally cut into meat like the butcher does to cow by his cohorts. I reclined my back on the wall while I was howling in cry. Read Chapter
