Don't you ever give up,

just step out again,

raise right back and give her a spin,

To a rabbit goes the pursuing pup,

just keep it up and you are bound to win!

Holes are hammered into granite stone

by a single reoccurring falling drop.

The forces of sand and wind never stop,

mountains are smoothed, the largest known;

but if the surge had eased,

pleasant pastures would have developed not.

Spiders spin webs across deep caverns,

he leaps the span, but misses the edges,

yet he continues on until his thread be long,

then his web shall span unto the highest cliff ledges.

William Wallace battled King Edward,

he pushed them leeward

by continuing to move forward.

He may have won the fight,

but not the war,

yet the enemy hesitated to come back

and get some more!

Caesar would have never conquered the Western world,

he would have never possessed wealth

or won the girls,

had he given up on the struggle

and stayed unto himself.

At times life may be bitter

and very unfair,

but unto those who fain

then their future beware.

If he had just continued to give it his best,

then unto him belong the prize for winning the test!

Wives may come,

and spouses may go,

then into thin air all fortune may flow,

but he who stays in the groove and continues to swing,

unto him shall come all fine things.
