The hope of a girl filled with shyness

She stands arcoss the room pefectly posied,

Picking at a loose string her gaze fleeting,

From face to face; Hopefulness is not there.

Looks down before the reaction is seen.

A girl so sad it hurts to look at her.

A mask is in place upon her pallid face.

Who is she really?

This girl stares secretly, envious,

Of all the people who are watching to.

She stands across the room perfectly poised.

Yet a light of hope shines deep in her eyes.

A word is waiting behind those pink lips.

She says shyly for the fist time ... hello.
