Like An Ocean

Water, water everywhere,

It’s dripping from my face;

Salty tears that never stop

But should be kept in place.

Drips and drips make rivers,

A drowning bleak cascade,

That I should dive right in to

And just begin to fade.

These tears are like an ocean,

So many of them fall,

I wish I could just go to sleep

And so escape them all.

The future looks so very bleak

It sure won’t be much fun;

So I’ll let these tears keep falling

And stare down that barrelled gun!
