The Green Light

Close my mind and then shut my thoughts

Like a light switch set to "off"

I've heard the news

"Loving life is good"

But I'm completely torn by sudden moods

I could map my laughter

But where would it lead me to?

The clingy ideas

__that "I need another person in my life"

____have sent my heart to the floor

Now I wait in unbearable suspense

"Is it right?"

"Is it wrong?"

"How soon is this thing gonna go on?"

How hard it is to know yet

My entire head is spinning

__with guitar notes

But I've yet to pick up

__the camera

For, I'm waiting

__for my brain to escape this world

To a well I can dive into

With point blank abbreviations

I know nothing of what's going on

"Can this dill pickle of a mind

__get out of it's own way?"

Sometimes I need more than letters

__that form words

____and turn into sentences

When paragraphs can be misleading

I've told the pizza pie next store

__that I'll eat her "another day"

This is about to start a fire

__in a heart not lit in a while

It's always good to meet new friends

But what's a short span of time

Gonna do to a line that goes

__in and out of a wall

____where words go to the world?

The rest of my existence

__is kept in the belly of

____the monster of my impatience

But I can wait this out

Just give me a pen and some pages

Let's go to town

Writing thee whole explosion down
