One last time for a first encounter
One less moment spent in stasis
Forgetting the gales of a distant past
Moving forward into a fresh memory
Daily we drift in a circle, never ending its repetition
Seek to break its fragile border, if only for an intermission
As the moments stack up, and time slips away
We all begin wishing, for more in the day
But try as we might to slow it down, the time never fails to hit the ground
And no matter the course, it falls away
Leaving nothing to chance, and less to say
With each and every old new day
We find ourselves, then die away
