My life has been

An unchained melody

A walk in pretty places

People free

Where sunset was a place

And time of day

Kaleidoscope of faces in array

All within a backdrop of the sea

But, now I find the life

That I once knew

Just real estate and

Money to accrue

And dreams were sold

To those with cash in hand

To modify the dreamscape

Of the land

Sweet memories are all

One can recall

When wealth has changed

The meaning of it all

.....I grew up along the coast of Southern California. My favorite beach camp now costs $600 per night to stay. The cost of living is outrageous. Vimeo: Eagles, The Last Resort...
