Her Soul:

Her Soul is black as coal.

Her eyes tell me lies.

Her hands don't understand.

Love isn't to think of.

Tell me I'm well.

The windows are closed to hide her foes.

Try not cry I tell my eyes.

For she does not see my mind does plea.

But finally I see my mother for thee.

A haunted mind a dud.

For she could not love a broken little dove.

No matter how hard I would stir.

I was only a thorn in her torn world.

So here I am with my mind in the sand awaiting the blue ferry.

For I so low have got to go.

To save my mother's haunted soul.
