Strength within, we will begin, to bend and shape the world.

We hope for less, we do confess, but our map, we will unfurl.

As time goes on, we see our wrong, we must begin again.

But ‘till the day, we fail to stay, we’ll build until the end.

The road was rough, our beards grew gruff, our hope began to fade.

The day was nigh, when we would die, with no one to persuade.

I hoped to God, through dirt and sod, we’d find another way,

But without hope, we tied the rope, and met our dying day.
