Life Under the Stars

Laying here on the soft grass

I hear you breathing softly next to me

Eyes drawn to the sky

Where stars twinkle like microbulbs

If only I had known

The world outside was so beautiful

Nothing like in my house

With floating with hovers attached

I don't believe it's real

Probably just a sheet of painted cotton

But even if it is fake

I can still dream

Maybe the stars are projected

Just like everything else around here

Maybe the grass is fake

But I can still dream, dream that it is real
