She was seventeen

Going on eighteen

A High school Senior

With the world at her fingertips.

She spoke of her dreams

In terms of forever love

And A career she would love.

She could see her bright eyed children

In her visons

Sitting in the family room

Of the perfect house

Where her fairytale would be lived.

She wore the blood of Jesus

Since the age of twelve

But even "Good Christian Girls"

Make mistakes and she found herself

In a postition with a boy she loved

And a few weeks later the test came back

Postive.

She told her Teacher

Of the dreams she had

And the baby yet to

Be born

Her teacher made a suggestion

Abortion

But she knew deep down

This was not the answer.

The teacher pressured her and pressured her

To see if she would break

Telling her her dreams would die

But everything in her heart resognated

That is not the answer

About a year later

She came back

To the teacher

And brought her little girl

Sitting inside the Car carrier.

Looked at the teacher

And told her

"You were right

My dreams did die

But new one's

Greater one's

Formed in the form

Of this young life."
