Regret

I think you're beginning to regret the fact that you let me go,
Over something so trivial and stupid,
I told you about my medical record,
And it's obvious you've misconstrued it,
But now, I feel I should step back,
And focus on what's more important,
Getting to know you was my number one priority,
But you threw me away like an unwanted sweet in an assortment,
So now,
I'm not interested in marriage,
I'm not interested in having a relationship,
You taught me one thing about my mentality,
And I'm really thinking about changing it,
I'm sorry I came into your life,
Better yet,
I'm sorry I replied,
As you're the one who first spoke to me,
I started feeling this desire for you inside,
I shouldn't get so easily attached,
Leaving my heart open for attack,
I need to be a lot more stronger than this,
And escape this emotional trap!
