Oh, what a life

I had lived with you.

You were always there

And now you are gone.

I remember when

We had first met.

It was snowing

And you were alone.

So I took you in.

You called me your friend.

But I closed my heart

And ignored you.

All of these years

I was blinded by rage.

I could not see

How much you meant to me.

You were always by my side

Up until you died.

I never really knew

How much I meant to you.

And now as I die

And lie by your side,

A snowflake melts

And rolls down your cheek.

I never did acknowledge

How you always stayed by me.

So now the least I can do

Is die beside you.

At last, I understand.

At last, I comprehend

How much you meant to me

And how much I meant to you.
