Standing before a closed but not locked door, waiting.

Is a moment in time enough to decide, should I open it or not?

And in my mind for a split second the door before me,

is the top of Pandoras box; the lid on the can of worms.

And with a sigh, knowing in my mind,

that I might not like whatever is beyond it.

But remaining still is never an option,

because moving forward is life.
