Tears streaming,

The screen is blurry,

I send goodbye,

As I wait for the end.

My mom sees it,

Panic ensues,

She calls up my friends,

They have seen it to.

My best friend sees it,

She calls my phone,

I hear the voice mail,

Begging me to stay.

My team sees it,

They are my family,

Banding together,

They try to find me.

My dad sees it,

10 minutes late,

he prays in his car,

hoping to god I’m OK.

The first call comes to my mom,

The second to my dad,

The third to my best friend,

The last to my team.

The doctor says I was found,

Not a minute to spare,

I asked them to let me die,

But they ignored me instead

They found a note in my hand,

Telling them all my thoughts,

They pass it around,

As they wait for more news.

The doctor comes,

Tells them I’m alive,

but that recovery will be long,

and hard.

They stare at the doctor,

And tell him that my life is hard,

They ask what they can do,

But he doesn’t have answer.

I see my best friend first,

She sits there playing with my hair,

I see my team second,

They tell me they love me each holding me.

I see my dad third,

He presses a kiss to my head.

I see my mom last,

But she makes me feel is despair.
