1...2...3

Your feet, the pavement hit.

A soothing, steady pace.

The air is icy cold

It feels most beautiful.

Deeply you breathe it in.

1...2...3

It's perfectly wonderful

As it enters your lungs;

So sweet, and clean, and clear.

The mist hides the whole park.

Shrouded in mystery.

1...2...3

The sun has not yet risen.

Alone in pale moonlight.

All dim and pure sweet air.

Your path circles the lake.

A surface of black glass.

1...2...3

Perhaps there is a dance.

Where only souls of the dead,

swirl across the mirrored stars.

Unseen feet leave no ripple.

Slow steps paired to sweet music.

1...2...3

You long to join the waltz,

Glide across reflected diamonds.

The music you chose today,

A tender bittersweet lullaby,

brings the ghosts alive before you.

1...2...3

Gentlemen and ladies dance.

In an elegant masquerade.

Spirits sparkling, glowing in the mist.

Stepping, turning, floating.

Icy water freezes your feet.

1...2...3

You open your eyes in shock.

The treacherous sun has risen.

Golden rays burn away the mist.

The ghosts fade away into nothing.

You step out of the lake.

1...2...3

Your steady feet carry you home.

There's no saddness at missing out.

For you know that one night,

you'll be part of that dance.

A spirits spinning across the stars.

1...2...3
