A  Victorian Woman Dream

Elizabeth smiled and said to the woman, “Thank you.” Elizabeth felt a gush of relief.
The woman asked Elizabeth, “How much is the necklace?”
Elizabeth smiled and said, “That will be £8.00 miss.” So the woman gave Elizabeth £8.00 and left all happy. Elizabeth had more women at her stall. They all smiled and they were also posh and rich just like Elizabeth. She made £250.00 with her amazing jewellery. She said to herself under her purple top hat with feathers, “Well done.”

Before she closed the stall there was a man who came to her stall and said, “I see you are selling your jewellery well.” He was wearing a top hat and a waist jacket with black shiny shoes. Elizabeth looked at the man and said, “Do I know you?”
The man smiled. “No you don’t, but I know your mother. I am her lawyer.”
Elizabeth looked at him and said, “Really?”
The man nodded and said, “Yes. She told me you are interested in having your own shop.” Elizabeth smiled and said, “Of course that is my dream.”
The man nodded and said to Elizabeth, “What if your mother has an old shop that she used when she was your age? It was her first shop she ever owned.”
Elizabeth smiled and said, “Yes what about my mum’s old shop?”
The Lawyer looked at her and said, “Well I’ve got some good news. Her shop is up for rent and she would love you to have it. She is actually waiting for you outside.”
“But what about the rent?” said Elizabeth.
The Lawyer looked at her and said, “No need to worry. Your mum paid for it already and she would love to see you.”
Elizabeth smiled and said, “Really?”
The man nodded. “Come let me show you the way to the shop.” So the lawyer took her to the shop and saw her mum. “I’ll let you two talk. See you later.” So the lawyer left.

Elizabeth saw her mum waiting outside. She crossed the road and said, “Mother I just was talking to your lawyer there and he told me you are giving me your old shop?”
Elizabeth’s mother smiled and nodded. “Yes darling I am giving it to you. I want you to be happy and have a great business and earn yourself money without getting it given to you by us. We would like you to live your own life and see you happy.”
Elizabeth smiled and said to her mum, “Thank you so much mum you made my dream come true.” So she gave her mum a hug and said thank you again.
“And one more thing Elizabeth, don’t forget your steps.”
Elizabeth smiled and said, “I won’t.”

So Elizabeth ran her own shop and her dream came true. She decorated her shop with wallpaper that has fleur de lyse with a blue background. The floor was polished and laminated. Her till had a gold table with glass showing her necklaces. Her displays were also made out of gold and her necklaces were laying on red pillows. The lampshade was a chandelier and her sign outside was named Elizabeth's Luxury Jewellery. The shop was a big hit. All her handmade cameo Necklaces flew like flying colours. So her business went on a very long time. Everyone adored her shop and Elizabeth became very popular with the town. Her Necklaces were always everyone's favourite buy.
